Back when working on ModelOp we ran into the situation where we deployed the ELK stack to a customer cluster… and its resource requirements killed the cluster. This is an issue for obvious reasons. As a result, I decided to see if it would be feasible to build a lightweight log viewer that was compatible with the Logstash API. Thus, Whitetail was born
Whitetail stores logs in the originally prototyped version of CeresDB and leverages the capabilities of that system to quickly share logs with the user. In addition, Whitetail provides branding support so that any company using this can make it somewhat conform with their look/feel.
